Extrema Ratio Einsatzmesser Misericordia

Extrema Ratio Misericordia is an extremely light and compact fixed blade operational knife developed for and by the 4th Reggimento Alpini Paracadutisti (4th Alpine Parachute Regiment) of the Italian Armed Forces. The blade of the Misericordia is milled from Böhler N690 steel, hardened at 58 HRC, 118 mm long and 4 mm thick and has smooth edges. The blade features the classic black finish Extrema Ratio MIL-C-13924. The ring is equipped with a hard metal glass breaker. The knife is secured in the sheath by a quick release safety which can be easily inverted for left hand use. The impact-resistant nylon sleeve is versatile: an adjustable double clamp system allows the user to adapt it to different types of straps, including MOLLE. A cone-shaped inlet facilitates knife holstering, while depressing the trigger-like safety lever allows for quick, instinctive knife removal.
